As an electronic engineer working in the automotive industry since 1999, I've been always focused on the vehicle's integrity and safety when working on one. Thanks to my education and hobby in electronics since childhood, as well as constant research and practice in the field, working on any automotive electronics down to component level was easy and fun to me. Besides that, I always liked to be challenged with difficult problems in cars that nobody else wanted to take their time or had the patience to resolve. These skills helped me to gain access to many high-end vehicles, which most people in the industry are afraid to even touch. That, plus tons of reading, researching and sleepless nights took me to the point, where I could diagnose and resolve electrical problems in cars even over the phone. My job was also training installers of automotive equipment. 7 years ago I was involved in installations of GPS tracking devices. That is true until today and I was struggling many times when the installation involved the so-called Starter Kill in some more advanced vehicles with sensitive electronics. Than the Hybrid cars became popular and more recently the battery electric vehicles, causing even bigger headaches when it comes to safe disabling of the starting system. In some of the Push-to-start cars I was using 3 relays instead of one for starter disable, to ensure the installation is safe and reliable. But then the BMW i8 came on the market and turned my job into nightmare. I was not able to safely prevent it from starting. And there were more and more customers coming with this car. I decided I need to build a custom device for it. It had to be up to the automotive standards and built with automotive grade components, safe for the car and not cause problems in any circumstances. 9 months later, after many tests and failures I had the prototype ready and was time to have it installed in a few cars and tested in real-world conditions. After one year of being on the road daily, none of the 6 cars that Startblocker was installed into had any problems whatsoever. Since then, I continued developing similar custom devices for other models, which were making the installation much easier, tamper proof and a lot safer for the cars, compared to just using the standard low quality starter kill relay GPS trackers, Immobilizers and car alarms come with. Next, I decided to make it available to anyone who values the safety and reliability of their car or the car of their customers.

And this is how Startblocker was born.
